From 128 GB a server becomes a platform: ten or more virtual machines, a game server network with many worlds, or a database that keeps its entire data set in memory.

The processors here range from a Xeon with six cores to the Core i9 and Ryzen 9. Make sure cores and RAM are a good match.

What matters

  1. Cores and RAM in balance

    A lot of RAM is of little use when you run out of cores. For many virtual machines, choose twelve threads or more.

  2. ECC is almost standard here

    The more RAM, the more likely a bit error over the months. That is why most servers of this size have ECC.

  3. Room for data

    Large datacenter NVMe drives with 1.92 TB often go with 128 GB RAM. Two of them mirrored give you 1.92 TB of safe storage space.

Full access via SSH. You install Debian, Ubuntu, AlmaLinux or Rocky Linux with one click in the customer area.

One IPv4 address is included in the price. You set the reverse DNS entry (rDNS) yourself.

The data center’s automatic DDoS protection is active at no extra charge.

Frequently asked questions

How many virtual machines fit into 128 GB?

That depends on their size: about 14 at 8 GB per machine, about 28 at 4 GB. Leave a few gigabytes for the host system.

Do I need a Xeon for 128 GB?

No. Ryzen 9 and Core i9 are also available with 128 GB. A Xeon is worth it if ECC and many threads matter more to you than performance per core.

How quickly is my server ready?

We provision the server once your payment has arrived. You receive the access details by email, and they are also shown in the customer area. The server starts in the rescue system; you then install your operating system with one click.

Is there a setup fee or a long term?

No. There is no setup fee, and the minimum term starts at one month. If you pay six or twelve months in advance, the monthly price goes down – you can see the prices on the server’s page.

Why do servers disappear from the list?

Every server is one of a kind. As soon as someone has rented it, it is gone, and others are added. The list is updated every few minutes.

Can I upgrade the server later?

A server’s hardware is fixed. If your project grows, you order a larger server, move over and cancel the old one at the end of its term.
