Ryzen processors are the all-rounders among server CPUs: fast enough per core for game servers, with enough threads for virtual machines, build servers and databases.

The points shown on every server tell you how big the gap between generations is: a Ryzen 7 7700 from 2023 reaches around 4,050 points per core and 34,300 in total, a Ryzen 7 3700X from 2019 around 2,650 and 22,400.

What matters

  1. Generation before core count

    A recent Ryzen with eight cores is faster than an older one with twelve as soon as your application depends on individual cores. Look at the “Single core” value first.

  2. DDR5 starts with Ryzen 7000

    Servers with a Ryzen 7 7700 or Ryzen 9 7900 run on DDR5 RAM, the older generations on DDR4. For most projects the amount matters more than the type.

  3. NVMe for short loading times

    Most Ryzen servers have two NVMe SSDs. You can mirror two identical drives; the server then survives the failure of one drive.

Full access via SSH. You install Debian, Ubuntu, AlmaLinux or Rocky Linux with one click in the customer area.

One IPv4 address is included in the price. You set the reverse DNS entry (rDNS) yourself.

Frequently asked questions

Which Ryzen is suitable for game servers?

For FiveM, Minecraft or Rust, performance per core is what counts. The servers with a Ryzen 7 7700 and Ryzen 9 7900 have the most of it; the “Single core” line shows the value for every server.

Are there Ryzen servers with ECC RAM?

Yes, some. If the RAM row says “ECC”, the memory detects and corrects single-bit errors. You can filter for it in the server finder.

How quickly is my server ready?

We provision the server once your payment has arrived. You receive the access details by email, and they are also shown in the customer area. The server starts in the rescue system; you then install your operating system with one click.

Is there a setup fee or a long term?

No. There is no setup fee, and the minimum term starts at one month. If you pay six or twelve months in advance, the monthly price goes down – you can see the prices on the server’s page.

Why do servers disappear from the list?

Every server is one of a kind. As soon as someone has rented it, it is gone, and others are added. The list is updated every few minutes.

Can I upgrade the server later?

A server’s hardware is fixed. If your project grows, you order a larger server, move over and cancel the old one at the end of its term.
