Halloween at Nexthosting: 10% off game servers with the code – until November 1
Carbon, Oxide or vanilla – one click in the panel. Map size, seed and wipe day are yours to decide. You don’t pay for slots.
€25.99 /month · 12 GB RAM · about 100 players
Start with Advancedclient.connect your-ip:28015This is how your server shows up in the Rust server browser – under “Modded” with Carbon or Oxide. Name, description, header image and tags are set in the panel.
Four tiers, just like building a base – from wood to armoured. No plan limits your slots; the player counts are guide values and depend on map size and plugins.

Choose plan – Rust CommunityPrices for monthly payment, final prices (no VAT under § 19 UStG), no setup fee. Up to 15 % less when you pay in advance – the prices per term are on the product page. In every plan: Carbon, Oxide or vanilla, the current Rust on every start, console, file manager and SFTP.
On the first Thursday of the month the big Rust update lands – and every map starts over. In between, you wipe whenever you like.
Force wipe is on the first Thursday of every month, around 8 pm German time. With JavaScript switched on, the calendar works out the dates for you.
A sketch: size and grid are right, the coastline is not. Rust builds the real map from seed and size.
Guide value: Medium – the usual frame for up to about 100 players.
server.worldsize 3000 server.seed 12345
You enter these two values in the startup settings in the panel. After the restart Rust creates the new map.
player.blueprints.*.db in the file manager.Nexthosting Schutz
Every game server at Nexthosting is protected against DDoS attacks at no extra cost. With a dedicated IP address, your server gets a filter all to itself – and you get the panel where you watch every attack bounce off.
All quiet. Blue means your players. They walk through the gate – that is your server's port.
Example, no real data
Moving example from the protection panel: small squares run towards a wall. Blue squares – the players – pass through the gate to the server, during an attack too. Sand-coloured squares – the attack – get stuck at the wall.
Senders that open connections in bulk are locked out automatically while an attack is running. You lift any lock with one click.
Existing connections are never cut. Regulars – anyone who has spent a while on your server – get in straight away, even in the middle of an attack.

The map shows the traffic to your server, country by country. Block a country with one click – or allow only the ones you choose. If you like, the protection blocks attacking countries by itself while an attack is running.

Course, waves and senders, minute by minute – as a PDF and as a table. One click reports the attack to Nexthosting: an urgent notice at once, followed by a full report as a PDF. On request with a confirmation you can hand to the police or other authorities.

Three protection levels – and if you like, the protection tightens by itself when an attack starts. You are told by e-mail and Discord as soon as an attack begins and when it is over. Plus: a test of the protection at the push of a button, co-managers for your community's admins, and traffic per port.
You pick the dedicated IP address as an add-on while ordering. Server location: a data centre in Germany.
A template in the panel switches your server over with one click. The framework downloads itself on the next start and stays up to date.
Without a framework no plugins are loaded. Folders and data of Carbon or Oxide stay where they are.

Your players can see for themselves whether the server is up and how full it is right now.
Included with every game server at no extra charge, you switch it on in the panel. Player count and map are available for games with a server query, online or offline is always shown.
Example: a Discord channel shows the status message of a server with 12 of 50 players, ping, uptime and address. Below it is a forum post whose signature contains the status banner of the same server. Both show the same player count.

After payment your server sets itself up and starts. With Rust the first start takes a few minutes: the game is downloaded and the map generated. You open the panel straight from your customer account.
For a new map, enter a new seed or a different map size in the startup settings and restart. Blueprints stay; to clear them too, delete the file player.blueprints.*.db in the file manager.
On force wipe, the first Thursday of the month, the Rust update brings a new map anyway. You schedule the restart for it in the panel – with a notice in chat for your players.
Both, and vanilla too. In the panel you pick the template “Rust with Carbon”, “Rust with Oxide (uMod)” or “Rust without a framework”. The framework is downloaded on the next start and kept up to date. Plugins go into the folder carbon/plugins or oxide/plugins as .cs files.
No plan limits your slots – you set the maximum yourself in the startup settings. As a guide, Advanced is sized for about 100, Premium for about 200 and Community for about 250 players. What your server really carries depends on map size and plugins.
Yes. Map size anywhere between 1000 and 6000, any seed you like. Both are in the startup settings and apply from the next restart.
On every start your server fetches the current Rust and – if you use one – the current Carbon or Oxide. So after an update a restart is all it takes, and you can schedule that in the panel.
Yes. You move to a larger plan at any time and at once, the difference is charged pro rata; to a smaller one at the end of the term. Or you add memory, cores or storage one by one with “Extend your server”.
With monthly billing you can cancel your plan monthly. Longer terms can be chosen as well; then the agreed term applies.
